Biography

Victoria Nelson is a visual artist & writer based in Los Angeles. Originally from an agricultural community, Victoria draws much of her inspiration from the beautiful lakes, lush forests, and fertile farmland of her hometown, Haslett, Michigan. Her dreams of moving to the big city led her to study animation at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. While in Chicago, she briefly worked in commercial animation, specializing in character and FX animation. After graduation, she left Chicago to pursue a career in animation in Los Angeles. She eventually found work in live-action television and later began working in animation. She spends her free time drinking coffee, painting, and hanging out with her partner, Indy, and their chunky tabby cat, Mookie. In 2020, Victoria and Indy started a podcast production company and studio space called CHOBO Studios. They co-own and run the business together in the San Fernando Valley. They also co-own a remote editing service that helps creatives around the country called PodShuttle.
